Since October, the city of Seoul has been working with the police to prevent accidents and crime through a new neighborhood night patrol program.
The city says that, in its first two months, the patrols have handled 160 cases, which include helping women and senior citizens get home safe, helping intoxicated people who have passed out on the street, and reporting fires and broken streetlights.
The program currently covers 15 areas where there are high concentrations of people who live alone.
The patrols are out from nine PM until two AM every night.
