Seongbuk-dong, an area of the city that is relatively unknown to tourists, is one of Seoul’s hidden gems with a full of history and attractive streets to explore. Bordered by the Seoul fortress wall, the neighborhood has temples, homes of famous historical figures to visit, as well as plenty of delightful restaurants, and tea rooms serving up Korean favorites to enjoy whilst taking a rest. One highlight is Bukjeong Village, a hillside community where you can experience old Seoul as you make your way through the maze of alleyways and passageways.
