A number of young entrepreneurs remodeled a neighborhood where printing houses, publishing companies, and small factories were gathered to revitalize and operate small restaurants. Yeoljeongdo (Passion Island) has grown to be the home of more than forty restaurants and shops within two years and has become a popular dining spot sought out by office workers with a variety of menu choices. The old alleyway hidden among tall complex buildings is similar to an isolated island floating in the middle of the city, and it was deemed “Passion Island” to signify the passion of the location. Shops with a colorful interior create a warm atmosphere while coffee shops and workshops line up along the sides of the main street.
