Yangjaecheon Stream originates from the banks of a streamlet southeast of Gwacheon’s Gwanaksan Mountain in Jungang-dong, and flows northeast, crossing Seoul’s Seocho-gu and Gangnam-gu, into Tancheon Stream. It spans 18.5 km long, and its name derives from it flowing through Yangjae-dong in Seocho-gu.

You can reach Yangjaecheon Stream in just 15 minutes on foot from the station, and walk along the streamside trails on both sides of the stream and see lines of cherry blossoms. It is one of Seoul’s most visited spots for viewing cherry blossoms, attracting visitors from all over every season for its breathtaking display of spring flowers, including Korean Forsythia and Spiraeeae.

A walking meditation program, which was cancelled last year due to COVID-19, is scheduled to be held near Yangjaecheon Stream this year starting April 9. The program will be held in strict compliance with the disease control and prevention regulations, and visitors are encouraged to participate in the program to relieve stress while healing their body and soul.
