  • The Seoul National Cemetery, spanning over 1,421,494 square meters, is where the bodies of over 165,000 patriots and national heroes, who significantly contributed to the advancement of the country or died protecting the nation, rest in peace. During the cherry blossom season, many people visit the site to enjoy the flowers. The cemetery is known for its diversity of trees, which is comparable to the Korea National Arboretum. In April, weeping cherries come to full bloom, offering a spectacular view.

    The cemetery is reserved for Korean veterans, including those of the Korean independence movement, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Several former Korean presidents are also buried there. In addition to the cherry trees, there are photo exhibits and memorial monuments to appreciate.
