  • Culture & Tourism news SMG 2089

The Cheong Gye Cheon Museum of the Seoul Museum of History is holding a photo exhibit on Four Seasons of Cheongyecheon from August 23 until November 10.

    □ The photos displayed this time are the prize winners in the Seoul citizens’ photo contests held in four occasions and those taken by Seoul Metropolitan Facilities Management Corporation between 2006 when the stream was restored and 2012.

The event is expected to provide an opportunity to realize the significance of the stream in the everyday lives of Seoulites and see diverse stories of the people.

The sub-themes of the exhibit are as follows:

    • Summer of the Cheongyecheon: Blue refreshing water
    • Fall of the Cheongyecheon: Crisp weather in fall
    • Winter of the Cheongyecheon: Propitious snow on New Year
    • Spring of the Cheongyecheon: Walking under the blossoms

    □ A workshop titled “Tell us your stories” will be held during the exhibit. Participants will discuss how to look at the stream and depict it in photos. Those taken during the special event will also be displayed.

    • The workshop will be held twice on September 28 and October 19. For details, please visit the Cheong Gye Cheon Museum website (www.cgcm.go.kr).

    □ The Seoul Museum of History expects the event to provide people with an opportunity to look at the stream from a new perspective as a place associated with their daily lives and their memory.
