Thank you for your effort [Campaign Period] Dec. 28, 2020 – Jan. 22, 2021 [Winners Announced] 1st round: Fri, Jan. 8 / 2nd round: Fri, Jan. 22

The Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) is launching its “Thank you for your effort” campaign to cheer on citizens weary of the prolonged COVID-19 crisis and reinforced social distancing. Additionally, the SMG is supporting citizens with psychological assistance for them to overcome difficulties in daily life, such as increased household conflict between family members due to longer hours spent together at home.

First, the SMG’s “Thank you for your effort” campaign will be conducted for a month from Mon, Dec. 28, 2020 to Fri, Jan. 22, 2021 to cheer on citizens going through tough times during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Citizens can submit personal anecdotes to cheer themselves (as a one-person household) or their family members, and 500 submissions will be selected to receive flower bouquets through a selection process of two rounds. Select winners will receive their bouquet with the message of “Thank you for your effort” and a postcard with instructions for smart at-home lifestyle. Winners will be announced twice on two Fridays, on Jan. 8 and Jan. 22, and the bouquets will be sent first between Jan. 11–13 and second between Jan. 25–27. The best anecdotes will be published when the winners are announced. Any Seoul citizen can participate in the campaign on the SMG website or social media.

Additionally, the SMG will provide contactless family counseling service provided by specialists working at health care centers in each of the 25 autonomous districts. Counseling will be conducted over the phone or online (8 sessions for individual counseling and 10 sessions for couple or family counseling for free).

Any Seoul citizen in need of recovery both physically and mentally or make amends in relationships due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation can apply for counseling on the Family Seoul website (https://familyseoul.or.kr).
