Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) is scheduled to host the Seoul Human Rights Conference 2020 under the theme “Human rights in crisis and the role of SMG”, on December 7 and 8. The conference will be held online and livestreamed through the SMG official YouTube channel (Korean/English).
As the lifestyle of people is drastically changing due to the unprecedented pandemic, discrimination against social minority groups including violation of human rights and hatred have become more severe than ever. This conference intends to discuss the role of SMG facing the crisis of human rights, the directions of human rights that shall be pursued in the post-COVID-19 era, and find plausible solutions for this matter.
The conference will be consisted of seven sessions for two days.
