Marsh Plants Garden and bird observatory

The Marsh Plants Gardens in Seoul Forest profitably exploit the remaining structures of the old filtration plant for various educational and leisure activities. The artificial structures combined with the surrounding scenic natural environment create a great opportunity for bird watching, a refreshing leisurely walk, and enjoyment of the beauty of wildlife.

The reservoir of a filtration plant formerly located in Seoul Forest still serves its original purpose while helping to create fine botanical gardens including the Marsh Plants Garden. The old facilities have been combined with the surrounding green environment, marshes and pools to create valuable wildlife habitats. A platform prepared in area adjacent to the lower streams of the Jungnangcheon provides a perfect bird watching point. The wooden deck, carefully designed to harmonize with the original natural features of the site, offers a fine observation point for wetland wildlife.
