Seoul actively supported the Inter-Korean Summit and created a peaceful atmosphere throughout the Seoul region for the success of the 3rd Inter-Korean Summit from (9.18 – 9.20) in Pyeongyang. The city provided a live broadcast of the historical summit on large screens at the Seoul Plaza, Gwanghwamun Square and DDP, in addition to the reenactment of the momentous meeting on the Panmunjeom bridge at Gwanghwamun Square and DDP. Messages of hope for unification were wrapped on the main stairway of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, with large banners hung on the walls of the Seoul Metropolitan Library and DDP. Images displaying messages of hope were also screened on the Seoul Square Media Facade. Seoul operated the international press center at the DDP, seating 1,000 attendees and actively supported domestic and foreign journalists.
