  • SMG 1829

The Seoul Metropolitan Government expands its support for the “Building Retrofit Project,” a measure to reduce the GHG emitted from buildings, which amounts to 68 percent out of all GHG emissions, by offering low-interest loans for construction expenses to improve the energy efficiency of facilities.

The Building Retrofit Project is a project in which the efficiency of energy usage is enhanced as products certified as high efficiency equipment, such as windows and doors with insulating effects, insulators, LED lighting, and air conditioning and heating equipment, are used for construction.

Specifically, the Seoul Metropolitan Government will execute the Building Retrofit Project with the aim of transforming buildings into ‘zero energy buildings,’ considering not only the improvement of energy efficiency of the whole building but energy production as well.

Loan applications can be filed online (https://brp.eseoul.go.kr/FUND/). The beneficiaries will be selected through monthly deliberation and receive support for construction expenses following the loan process of the appointed financial institution after the construction is complete.
