The movie “Parasite” is causing a worldwide frenzy. After winning the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival last year, “Parasite” won four awards at the 92nd Academy Awards, the symbol of the American film industry, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best International Feature Film, and Best Original Screenplay. The whole world is literally in a fever brought about by “Parasite.”
Accordingly, the city of Seoul and Seoul Tourism Organization organized the “Fam Tour with a Movie Expert” that will take tourists around the filming locations of “Parasite” in Seoul, allowing them to discover the hidden stories within the movie. The city has plans to develop the tour into a tourism course after the launching of the event-like Fam Tour.
Last December, the “Parasite Tour Course” was introduced on the Visit Seoul website (http://www.visitseoul.net/). The course includes major filming locations of the movie, including Dwaejissalsyupeo (Supermarket) in Mapo-gu, the stairs in Ki-taek’s village in Jongno-gu, the stairs of Jahamun Tunnel, and Sky Pizza in Dongjak-gu.
