It gave its top award for this year to Seongdong-gu district’s Skyline Wayfinding project.
That one is a crime prevention project, and it won the Sylvia Harris Award and Merit Award for putting addresses on the side of each building to help find people in an emergency.
A three-way pedestrian overpass in Jongro-gu District was also recognized with a Merit Award for its design incorporating the arts and augmented reality technology.
Seoul’s projects are the first Korean design projects to receive SEGD design awards.
