Seoul Metropolitan Government hosted an international conference on December 11 and 12, 2019 to share the ‘Clean Construction System’ of Seoul Metropolitan Government with eight developing countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Ukraine, Philippines, Uganda, China, Malaysia, and Myanmar.
In this conference, they shared various experiences and policies and the implications of Thailand, Vietnam, Ukraine, the Philippines, Uganda who adopted the knowhow and the system of Seoul Metropolitan Government who built and operated the Clean Construction System since 2012.
In addition, China, Malaysia, and Myanmar, who are interested in the system of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, introduced their own public construction sector management and information sharing system and presented their current situation, challenges and willingness to fight corruption.
In 2013, the ‘Clean Construction System’ won the prize of 「Excellence in the Prevention of Corruption and Anti-Competitiveness in Public Services」 of ‘UN Public Service Awards (UNPSA), awarded to excellent public services, and its excellence has been recognized worldwide.
‘Clean Construction System’ overseas sharing project is being introduced to suit each country’s situation to build a system or to implement relevant policies, starting with seven countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Ukraine, Philippines.
