Seoul Iris Garden, located between Dobongsan Mountain and Suraksan Mountain on the border of the most northern part of Seoul, is a special botanical garden filled with irises, one of the four most beautiful flowers in the world. Its area of about 50,000m2 is divided into 12 themes, including the iris garden, medicinal plant garden, marsh, and more. In the iris garden, 300,000 irises of over 130 kinds with their brush-shaped petals, including yellow irises, beachhead irises, milky irises, and leopard lilies, are planted and on display to allow visitors to enjoy their beauty. Visitors can observe almost every type of medicinal plant produced in Korea at the medicinal plant garden. In the marsh, a deck is installed to facilitate the observation of various aquatic plants and wetland creatures. In the flower garden, flamboyant flowers, such as lilies and tulips, blossom according to the season.
