The Seoul International Fireworks Festival is a leading event in Seoul that attracts over one million visitors per year. Since its inception in October 2000, the festival has been held in the Yeouido Hangang Park area between late September and early October. 100,000 rockets and fireworks are shot off by an internationally renowned fireworks specialist to represent fireworks from many countries. On weekends, various other events are concurrently held as well. Fireworks are visible in parts of Dongjak-gu, Hangangdaegyo Bridge, Wonhyodaegyo Bridge, Mapodaegyo Bridge, Dongjak Station on Line 4, Namsan Tower and Gwanaksan Mountain.
