As Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention moved to another city, the building was redesigned into Seoul Innovation Park, a space for those who dream of innovation. Opened in 2015, it is the nation’s largest station for creating an environment for social innovation, housing a number of intermediate support organizations that back up social innovation, including Seoul Innovation Center, Seoul Youth Hub, Seoul Social Economy Center, and more. Seoul Innovation Park also functions as an experimental space for solving various social problems, comprised of Maker Space with diverse equipment including 3D printers, Art Park, Inno Museum, and Youth Field with young start-ups. Through the “New Innovation Park” project that has been ongoing since 2018 and will continue until 2022, many spaces will be created for regular citizens to enjoy, including spaces in which they experience VR & AR.
