The Seoul Metropolitan Government has designated eight Korean wood-and-clay traditional houses, “Hanok”, as the capital’s excellent Hanoks of 2019.

The newly certified Hanoks are located near Gyeongbokgung Palace and the Eunpyeong Hanok Village. Seoul first started designating excellent Hanoks in 2016 to promote the value of Korea’s traditional home architecture style which you can see in all this grace there.

With this year’s new designation, 63 Hanoks have now been named as ‘Seoul Excellent Hanoks.’
