Seoul Design Foundation – Bomjang

 

The Seoul Design Foundation is opening Bomjang on Feb. 7 and Feb. 8 (10:00~19:00) at the Dongdaemun History & Culture Park. Literally meaning “Spring Marketplace,” Bomjang has been opened since 2012 by the Seoul Design Foundation for citizens.

    DDP Cooking Contest for young food designers

  • Demonstration of Hangeul T-shirts with live silk screen designed and made by oneself

□ Exhibition of “T-shirts featuring Hangeul” made by 100 artists

○ The “Hangeul in T-shirts” is an exhibition intended to showcase the T-shirts containing Hangeul, the Korean alphabet, made by 100 visual artists including graffitists, painters, illustrators, pop artists, calligraphers, and topographers.

□ DDP Cooking Contest for young food designers

○ There is a cooking contest for young (aged 25~39) cooks titled, “What will be good to eat at DDP Bomjang?” Food designers are expected to show off their cooking know-how and recipes of new outdoor foods at the contest.

□ “Dongdaemun Gaga,” a street furniture exhibition

○ The 4 most distinguished young architects in Korea will show 6 kinds of creative street furniture for DDP and other citizens and users.
