    Theresa May, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, visited Seoul City Hall on Thu, Sep. 17 to learn more about Seoul’s COVID-19 countermeasures and know-how.
    The Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) introduced its disease control and prevention measures to Theresa May based on the three principles of promptness, transparency and innovation, and held a 40-minute briefing on the 3T initiative: Test (diagnosis) → Trace (epidemiology) → Treat (quarantine).

    Additionally, the SMG introduced May to the city’s innovative designated screening centers, such as drive-through and walk-through centers, anonymous and free preemptive testing, epidemiological survey based on big data and new technologies of the fourth industrial revolution as well as the policies for people’s livelihood, such as Seoul’s Disaster Emergency Living Expenses and Stimulus Checks for the Self-Employed.
    The SMG held a Q&A session following the briefing, and SMG officials guided May around the COVID-19 Situation Room of the Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters (3rd floor in Seoul City Hall) starting at 4:10 PM when she revealed that its operation was of special interest to her.
