  • Seoul City to take special measures to protect homeless, vulnerable from summer heat

  • SMG 590
The Seoul Metropolitan Government is implementing measures to keep people cool this summer, especially the vulnerable.
The city advises people to stay indoors when heatwave warnings or alerts are issued, and to make use of the capital’s 26 cooling shelters.
The shelters have air conditioning units, shower rooms and even TVs.
Three mobile bath vehicles for homeless people will also operate in five areas.
Nurses will also provide daily check-ups on the homeless, the elderly, and the disabled.
