The Seoul Metropolitan Government is implementing stronger measures to keep vulnerable social groups cool during the scorching summer heat.
The city advises people to stay indoors when heatwave warning or alert are issued, and to make use of the capital’s 26 cooling shelters.
Now, these shelters have air conditioning units, shower rooms and even TVs.
Three mobile bath vehicles for homeless people will operate in five areas.
Nurses will do daily check-ups on the homeless people and those over 65, the disabled or those suffering from a chronic disease.
Private company will also sponser free drinking water, food, and electric fans.
