To help those looking to protect themselves against the coronavirus pandemic, the Seoul City Government plans to distribute 600,000 face masks with replaceable filters.
There will also be an additional 3 million filters for foreigners who don’t have the access to government-supplied masks.
Currently, foreign nationals in South Korea who don’t have health insurance are unable to buy face masks at pharmacies.
The city government said it will work with local sewing companies to produce 100,000 masks and 500,000 filters by Sunday this week.
By the end of the April, an extra 500-thousand masks and 2.5 million more filters will be distributed.
