Home prices in Seoul have skyrocketed in recent years, and rents are up too, which can make it hard for young people just starting out.

So the Seoul city government is going to help pay the rent for 22-thousand adults between the ages of 19 and 39.

To qualify, you have to be below the 70th percentile in terms of income.

The city will provide 200-thousand Korean won a month, or about 175 U.S. dollars, for ten months.

It ran a similar program earlier this year for 5-thousand people, but decided to expand it, because in that round, it got about 36-thousand applications.
