Data show that more than 30 percent of Korea’s coronavirus infections in recent months have occurred in places that are poorly ventilated, so the city of Seoul is encouraging people to open up windows and doors frequently. The city notes that homes and businesses will have their own circumstances to consider, but recommends ventilating for ten minutes every hour. A recent study from MIT suggests that this can reduce the chance of infection by 10 percent. If there is no window, try to at least open hallway doors or use a ventilating fan.
