– Last December, Seoul was selected as the ‘Best MICE CITY’ at ‘the 2013 10th annual Global Traveler Tested Reader Survey Awards’, hosted by ‘Global Traveler’, a travel magazine.
-The award-winners are directly chosen by readers of the magazine, who work in tourism, MICE industry, or who frequently travel on business.
– On January 14th Daniel Pitonyak, the vice president of the company visited Seoul to present the award plaque.
– Seoul is committed to “making the city the best MICE city in the world, aiming to become global top 3 convention city.”
As Seoul was selected as the ‘Best MICE CITY’ at ‘the 2013 10th annual Global Traveler Tested Reader Survey Awards’, there was a plaque-conveyance ceremony on January 14th (Tues), Seoul metropolitan government said.
It was last December 5th that Seoul won the award. The annual awards are hosted by ‘Global Traveler, a prestigious business travel magazine. Daniel Pitonyak, the vice president of the company made a visit to Seoul and presented the award plaque to Kim Sang Bum, of the Mayor Office.
Every year Global Traveler conducts online and offline-surveys among its 10,000 subscribers to decide winners of the annual Global Traveler Tested Reader Survey Awards. The awards honor cities, companies and organizations of excellence in each category, including the Best MICE City, airline, hotel and airport industry.
Seoul mayor Park Won Soon said, “The award attests the hard work and dedication of all members of Seoul metropolitan government to make Seoul a world-class convention city. We will continue our work to pave the path for Seoul to become global top 3 convention city.”
