SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, May 23, 2019 — To mark the 12th “Together Day,” which officially falls on May 20, the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Immigration Office of the Ministry of Justice will hold a celebrating event at the Seoul Global Center from 2 p.m., May 23.

The Korean Government established the day in 2007 to promote the harmonious coexistence of nationals and foreign migrants, creating a society where they respect each other’s tradition and culture and live together as part of the Act on the Treatment of Foreign nationals.

The event is even more meaningful since the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Immigration Office jointly hold it after the Ministry of Justice and the Seoul Metropolitan Government signed a memorandum of understanding on foreign policies on December 17, 2018.

In addition to a celebration ceremony and awarding ceremony, this year’s event will feature a variety of things to see and enjoy; including performances of the world’s traditions and fusion culture, a foreign residents’ talent show, a tasting event of the world’s refreshments, and operations of a wall of wish messages and a photo zone.
