Seolleung Royal Tomb is the royal tomb where King Seongjong, the ninth king of Joseon Dynasty, and his consort Queen Jeonghyeon are buried, and Jeongneung Royal Tomb is where King Jungjong, the eleventh king of Joseon Dynasty, is buried. 「Seolleung and Jeongneung Royal Tombs, Seoul」, Historic Site No. 199, was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009 and sits at the center of Seoul’s downtown Gangnam as a proud cultural heritage. The tombs are a tourist attraction for many Korean citizens and foreigners alike as well as a cultural heritage beloved by local residents.
