Seochon is an up-and-coming neighbourhood full of historical sites as well as stylish boutiques, restaurants, and cafés. Literally meaning “west village,” Seochon is located to the west of Gyeongbokgung Palace, just a short walk from the subway station, and is served by numerous buses as well. Here you can find the birthplace of King Sejong, the unique Tongil Market, countless hanoks (traditional Korean houses), and so much more. Keep walking north and you will soon find yourself in charming Buam-dong, a filming location for many Korean television dramas, including My Lovely Sam Soon and The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince. Other nearby attractions include Gwanghwamun Square, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and Cheongwadae Sarangchae.
