    • The city government and airport bus limousine operators to make efforts to prevent service degradation caused by the rate reduction and enhance the citizens’ transport convenience

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, May 21, 2019 — The premium airport limousine bus fare will be lowered by 1,000 won (US$ 0.84) for 23 service routes from May 22, 2019 when passengers use the transportation card.

Since September 2018, the Seoul Metropolitan Government and airport bus operators had discussed the reduction in bus fares, and recently decided the reduced rate based on a comprehensive review of airport limousine buses’ operations and business performances from 2018 to early 2019 and a survey of citizens’ satisfaction.

Accordingly, the Seoul Metropolitan Government accepted the applications to change the fare from three out of four airport bus companies including Airport Limousine Co. Ltd., Seoul Air Bus, and City Airport, Logis & Travel (CALT) in April, and the fare reduction will be applied from May 22, 2019.

Passengers may get a discount on the fare only when they tag their transportation card to a card reader installed inside the bus or when they buy bus tickets through RF terminals that can be found inside the Incheon International Airport. If cash is used, the discounted fare is not applied.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government and airport bus limousine operators decided to lower the bus fare so to give the actual reduction benefits to the citizens. They will make efforts to prevent service degradation caused by the rate reduction and enhance the citizens’ transport convenience.
