Dating Violence Hotline

• Schedule: From Jul. 2016

• Dating violence hotline linked to women’s emergency hotline (1366)

• To respond to and connect the victim to medical and legal support

Dating Violence Prevention Campaign (I•Good Memories•U)

• Schedule: Mar. 2016 – Dec. 2016

• Preparation and distribution of promotional materials for dating violence prevention: video clips, webtoons, posters, and banners

• Dating violence prevention talk show tour (May. 2016 – Sep. 2016)

Safety Measures with Women’s Participation

To revitalize women’s communities and to strengthen women’s independence and safety

Happy Village for Women’s Safety

• Schedule: After Mar. 2016

• Violence prevention and recognition improvement of dating violence, domestic violence, etc. with women-led communities and local voluntary groups as the center

• Consistent monitoring on women’s safety in cooperation with NGOs and individual activists (once per quarter)

Women’s Safety Street

• Schedule: Mar. 2016 – Oct. 2016

• To create streets themed on women’s safety street, women’s convenience street, etc. with local residents
– Case of Hapsil Village in Gwanak-gu: Adopting security system using Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) and installing more CCTVs

• To expand idea contests in each district by 2017
– Areas with dense populations of women, such as Hongik University (Hongdae) Area and Itaewon
– To expand the base and promote through propagation of international and domestic cases

Guide Map for Foreign Women’s Safety (Her Own Way-Korea)

• Schedule: 2016

• To develop informative content for foreign women visiting Korea (English, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish)

• To distribute booklets and e-Books, including in information centers or travel agencies

Development and Management of Gender Safety Index

• Schedule: First half of 2016

• To develop and consistently manage gender safety indexes by area
– To regularly measure safety level, to analyze and announce the results of the first half of the year in the following year
– To establish policies according to the results the analysis
