    Starting on July 22 (Wed.), 66 cultural facilities in Seoul that have been closed since May 29 (Fri.) to prevent the spread of COVID-19 will resume operation. The operation of facilities will begin gradually according to the characteristics of each facility with a reservation system and limit on the number of admitted visitors, ensuring safe operation in compliance with the guidelines for preventing epidemics.
    Accordingly, visitors should preemptively visit the website of the facility they wish to visit to find out more the information on facility rules and follow the rules of wearing a mask, getting their temperature taken, and signing in at the guest book.

    Municipal museums, such as Seoul Museum of History and Seoul Baekje Museum, as well as art galleries, such as Seoul Museum of Art (Seosomun Main Building), Buk-Seoul Museum of Art, and Nam-Seoul Museum of Art will limit the number of visitors through an online reservation system. Starting on July 21 (Tues.), anyone can make a reservation to visit the facilities free of charge via the Seoul’s Reservation for Public Service (yeyak.seoul.go.kr). Visitors should check for more details on the facilities’ websites as the number of accepted visitors and hours of operation vary by facility.

    Limited to members with a membership card, the Seoul Metropolitan Library will provide check-out and return services according to the guidelines for preventing epidemics, such as the creation of an electronic visitation register and temperature check. However, visitors cannot use materials in the reference room.

    Namsangol Hanok Village and Donuimun Museum Village will also resume all exhibition viewings except experience programs. Visitors can view traditional Korean houses in Namsangol Hanok Village, while the Donuimun Museum Village will open 16 village exhibition halls and limit the number of visitors to 5 people per gallery.
    The Seoul Silver Cinema , which is a cultural space for the elderly, will allow visitors to fill 40 out of the 260 seats (20%) to ensure safe distancing between viewers and reduce the number of screens from four a day to two.
