    The National Hangeul Museum first opened its doors on Hangeul Day, October 9, 2014 in Yongsan-dong; to preserve, expand and recreate the value of the Korean language and its culture. The museum has a total gross area of 11,767㎡ with four floors and one basement. The museum is consisted of Exhibition Halls, Hangeul Library, Museum Café & Shop, and other facilities. The museum currently owns over 30,000 pieces regarding Hangeul – from the creation of the language to the present times – are exhibited in the museum and also offers experiences and activities for visitors to enjoy. The museum also operates guided exhibition tours for foreigners and created a space for visitors to experience and easily learn the types, structure, and combinations of consonants and vowels of Hangeul.

    – Japanese: Friday 10:00, 11:00, 14:00
