Namsangol Hanok Village is a renowned cultural space after having been reborn into a traditional cultural arts and tourism attraction offering the public various, tradition-based programs. In celebration of the Lunar New Year, the country’s grandest holiday, Namsangol Hanok Village held the Year of the Pig event from February 4-6. It was opened under the theme “Year of the Pig” in light of the Year of the Golden Pig, signifying the energy of the pig, the source of good fortune. At Namsangol Hanok Village’s Cheonugak Square, an eye-catching, pig sculpture, standing at a height of six meters, was installed, amid the availability of workshops to experience customs first-hand, gugak (traditional Korean music) performances, and other various programs.
