The Inaugural Meeting of the Global Social Economic Forum (GSEF), held between November 17 (Mon) and 19 (Wed), is currently taking place at Seoul City Hall and the Social Enterprise Center in the Social Innovation Center. Three international organizations, including the UN, OECD, and ILO, as well as about 150 delegates from 18 foreign cities (Montreal, Canada; Pais Vasco, Spain; Hong Kong, etc.) and officials from 43 social enterprise civil organizations have come to attend the forum.
A lot of people came to show their interest in the forum by attending the opening ceremony that began at 9am on November 18 (Tue). The prepared 400 seats on the 1st and 2nd floors of the Multipurpose Hall were not enough.
Seoul is becoming a leading city in resolving the new issues and challenges faced by the global community, such as social innovation, social enterprise, sharing cities, and e-government.
