On the 20th of next month, Seoul Metropolitan Government will hold the “Policy Idea Market,” where we purchase the ideas of our citizens, on the first floor of the new city hall.

At the “market,” Mayor Park Won Soon and the deputy mayors, director generals, and investors and heads of invited institutions, will occupy booths to talk with citizens one-on-one and hear their ideas about government policies.

There will be a total of 11 booths in four different sections – “Safe City,” “Warm City,” “Dreaming City,” and “Breathing City.” Citizens have the option of visiting the new city hall to tell the officials about their ideas or submitting their suggestions online. We will receive submissions of policy ideas until the 12th of next month on “Oasis”.

If your idea is selected for a particular policy, you may receive a monetary prize between KRW 50,000 and 200,000. Also, an outstanding idea will be selected as a candidate for the “Citizen’s Suggestion” section of the Hopeful Seoul Prize for Creativity, and will be given an opportunity to compete for a prize of KRW 1 million to KRW 4 million.

    Citizens are mayors.
