Thank you to everyone who remembered and wished me a happy birthday!

Officially, my birthday is listed as March 26 on my family registrar, but I typically celebrate my lunar birthday, which has already passed.

But still, I am very grateful to those of you who wished me a happy birthday, and was a little overwhelmed by all the attention

I wonder what I have done to deserve well wishes from so many people!

Today, it’s my turn to give a present to you.

My gift to you is something called “Wonder-present”. Every day there will be a box set up at DDP in Dongdaemun that will act as a showcase to introduce you to some of the interesting people of Seoul.

Seoul citizens with creative talents and jobs will set up a display or other presentation inside the box to let people know more about themselves or their jobs, turning themselves into a “Wonder-present” for the people of Seoul. The box will be open from 11am to 7pm, after which we will close it back up again to get ready for the next presenter, building a sense of anticipation and making people eager to see what’s coming next! The idea for the Wonder-present was proposed by Lee Nami, one of the best designers of our time. We will be testing the Wonder-present until May 20.

Through these and other new innovations, I will continue to try my best to make Seoul a “city of joy and excitement”. I hope you are all enjoying Seoul!
