I read in an article that a letter King Jeongjo sent to his aunt was sold at an auction. Although his handwriting is uneven and child-like, the content of the letter is quite touching; he writes, “As the autumn wind is getting colder, I worry about your health. I miss you, for it has been such a long time since I last visited you.”
It reminded me of the letter I wrote to my parents after I took the college entrance exam for the second time. So, I took it out and read it, smiling at the white lies I had written. Then, thinking of my parents, who have passed away, I grew wistful.
How about sending a handwritten letter, instead of a text, to the person you are thinking of? Spring makes us long even more for the people we miss.
