The largest international water industry exhibition in Korea, 2014 Water Korea, will be held for four days, from March 18 to 21, at Kintex, in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. The Korea Water and Wastewater Works Association (KWWA) organizes this exhibition, and you may not have known, but I am the president of the KWWA.

Water Korea is a major water industry exhibition held in Korea, which attracts over 30,000 visitors every year. At the exhibition, a total of 640 booths will be set up for 211 businesses and institutions, including prominent Korean water industry corporations, as well as the waterworks providers of Korea’s seven metropolitan cities.

At 2014 Water Korea, a number of affiliated events will be held, such as the Korea-China Water Forum and 12 seminars. We have prepared a diverse program for the exhibition. Furthermore, a corporate exhibition hall will be set up to showcase new technologies and products related to the water industry, and a metropolitan city hall will be established to promote the seven metropolitan cities.

In particular, for the first time at this year’s exhibition, we will hold a counseling session to promote and support SMEs in the Korean water industry in their efforts to export and expand their businesses overseas.

Korea’s world-class water industry, and Seoul’s waterworks industry in particular, is now opening a new chapter in its history by advancing into the international market.
