A city full of fun – It is how I dream about Seoul. The Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture is engaging in activities to make such a dream come true. The foundation is adding fun and vitality to various places in people’s neighborhoods by creating works of art based on sheer imaginativeness.

Recently, the foundation made a total of 150-plus works in five areas. In the area extending from Bukchon to Seosomun and Gwanghwamun, diverse places, such as retaining walls, manhole covers, and wall niches, were used to make those creative works. At Banpo Hangang Park, taping works were installed using shadows as motifs. At the Seoul City Hall Station exit 4, a movable bike rack was installed. Anti-noise walls were installed at the section extending from the Gangbyeon Expressway side of the Wonhyodaegyo (Bridge) to Hangangdaegyo (Bridge) and Yongsan Station. The appearance of the neighborhood of Giljong Arcade and the nearby bus stop was improved, using diverse facilities and plants.
