I was pleasantly surprised by a group of young people I met at the World Korean Business Convention last October. They were residents at the Seoul Youth Business Incubation Center. Their business domain was “augmented reality.” I knew it could be used for the citizens of Seoul, and help these budding entrepreneurs who had the technology and ideas to support it. The technology was incorporated into Seoul’s New Year’s greetings card and was an instant hit with the citizens. I believe augmented reality will change the way we experience our lives if it is properly applied to Seoul’s tourist spots and cultural assets. For instance, people will be able to see images of historic figures and historic background simply by tapping on their smart phones. Why not give it a try and see what you think?
“This is how you can experience augmented reality!”
1. Download Seoul’s augmented reality app at Google or App store and run. (Release the silence mode and raise the volume!)
