On Wednesday, December 19, we elect the most important civil servant.
The person we elect will serve us for the next five years.
He or she will be entrusted with the most difficult, critical tasks ever.
Visit the website of the city government of Seoul (http://english.seoul.go.kr/?SSid=101_01), which is linked to “Finding my polling place,” so that you could find your voting booth easily. It is also linked to the “Voting information” of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security and the National Election Commission, which provides some general information on the election and the website of the Seoul Election Commission for the special election for Superintendent of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education; Seoul citizens must vote for the latter along with the president.
Dear citizens, be sure to vote. The municipal government has done its best to ensure that all employees in its offices including its corporations and affiliated offices can vote on that day. I have done my best on a personal level as well.
In the hopes of encouraging you to go to the polls, I sang a song even though I am practically tone deaf.
Check it out at
Finally, I promise to sing a song live at the Seoul Square Skating Rink if the national voter turnout rate exceeds 77%.
