Seoul Iris Garden is a special botanical garden that is full of irises, which is considered to be one of the world’s top four flowers. It is located between Dobongsan(Mt.) and Suraksan(Mt.) at the end of Gangbuk, Seoul. It consists of 12 themes, including the Iris Garden, Medicinal Botanical Garden, and Wetland, on a land area of about 16,000 pyeong. In the Iris Garden can be found about 130 species of 300,000 units of irises, which have flowers shaped like a ‘brush’. These include the Yellow Iris, Iris Setosa, and Iris Lactea. In addition, in the Medicinal Botanical Garden, you can observe most of the medicinal plants that are produced in Korea. While in the Wetland, there is an observatory deck for you to observe various aquatic plants and wetland organisms.
