Hangang (River)


Located in the southern riverside, Jamwon Hangang Park stretches some 5.4 km from Yeongdongdaegyo to Donghodaegyo, Hannamdaegyo, and Banpodaegyo. It is close to Gangnam-gu and Seocho-gu and to upscale districts, such as Apgujeong-dong, Sinsa-dong, and Jamwon-dong.

The athletic field, soccer field, basketball court, volleyball court, swimming pool, and fitness center that are well-arranged in the riverbank are fully packed for morning exercises. The 5.4 km-long bike lane along Hangang lets bikers enjoy the view with the refreshing breeze coming from the river.

The accessible outdoor swimming pool attracts many visitors and a growing number of citizens are enjoying water sports, such as windsurfing and motorboating. Clay tennis court and night lighting tennis courts are also located in Jamwon Hangang Park.

  • Fishing hole: bait fishing or fish meal fishing; tie-dyed fishing and bringing more than 3 fishing rods per person are prohibited

  • Water sports facilities: water ski
  • Swimming pool: accommodates 3,000 people (open from July to August)
  • Yacht facilities: yachting, canoeing, rowing, and windsurfing
