“Battleships in Hangang River!”
Seoul Battleship, which signed a sisterhood agreement with the City of Seoul in 1984, at last floats on the Hangang River. The ship hosts exhibitions on the history of the Hangang River and provides first-hand experience on marine life aboard Seoul Battleship, a high-speed boat and a submarine.
Three retired naval vessels on the Hangang River and riverside at Hangang Mangwon Park together form the Battleship Park. On the river is Seoul Battleship, a 102m-long naval convoy, and on the riverside is a high-speed boat and a submarine. Inside the ships, there is an exhibition space for learning the history of the Hangang River as well as information on naval battleships, naval capacity, shipbuilding technology and the scientific principles behind it and experience space for boarding ships to gain first-hand experience on battleship and naval technology. The Seoul Battleship Park helps people understand the importance of national security and peace.
