The Seoul Design Foundation will be holding the exhibition “DDP Shining at Night_Sprout” at DDP Oullim Square from Mon, Mar. 8 to Sun, Apr. 10, 2021. It is one of the “young designer series” preparing for the post-COVID-19 era, displaying fresh and new ideas of young designers in yellow module structures like spring flowers.
A module structure is a structure for a design product to be displayed outdoors. It is eco-friendly and can be reused after the exhibition. The transparent lens lets viewers see the products while the creative display structure gives off light with its own lighting system at night.
This exhibition is one of the programs that is pursued to encourage and cheer up young designers. DDP’s Oullim Square will become an area for communication between young designers and citizens, holding various special exhibitions in the future as well.
On the other hand, “Spring Garden in D-Forest” will take place as an exhibition to mark the beginning of a new spring at D-Forest located on the 1st floor of DDP’s Design Lab starting on Tue, Mar. 16, 2021. Design works of 12 artists specializing in flowers will provide every citizen with a time of healing where they can rest and relax in the spring garden for free.
A participatory event will be held during the “Spring Garden in D-Forest.” More than 200 plants will be distributed to the visitors who participate in the on-site event so that they can have a hands-on experience of growing and designing plants.
