The stage 3 section (2.5 kilometers; Yuksa Samgeori-Border of Seoul and Guri-si) of the Gyeongchun Line (Railroad) Forest regeneration project was opened to the public on November 18, 2017. The ‘Gyeongchun Line Forest was created by remodeling an old railway and nearby structures on the former Gyeongchun Line, which ceased operation in December 2010, into a park. Out of a total area of 5.6 kilometers that spans from Gyeongchuncheolgyo Railroad Bridge to the border of Seoul and Guri-si, the stage 3 section is great for taking quiet walks as it is removed from residential areas. Nearby attractions include a railway park located near Hwarangdae Station on Line 6 which is Nowon-gu’s Registered Cultural Heritage No. 300.
