The outdoor space of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts will be open to the public for the exhibition of Gwanghwamun Rhapsody, a project where citizens can experience and enjoy art in their everyday lives. Gwanghwamun Rhapsody, as its name suggests, is a metaphor for the episodic approach to the symbolism of Gwanghwamun’s history highlighted by a wide range of perspectives through collaborative artworks expressed with varied artistic imaginations. This year’s exhibition, co-hosted by the University Fine Arts Association , features a total of eight artworks from four universities (Gachon University, Dongguk University, Sungshin Women’s University, and Chung-Ang University) presented by teams of students and their professors; the featured artworks are on display in two locations of the outdoor space. Gwanghwamun Rhapsody is free and open to the public around the clock, so citizens and tourists alike are welcome to visit at any time and enjoy these new sculptures that highlight the place and history of Gwanghwamun.
