Gangseo Trail extends 11.33 km, and connects Gaehwasan and Chiyeonsan Mountains along with Seonam Environmental Park and Gangseo Hangang Park. Course 1 of the trail leads to Gaehwasan Forest Trail, which is 3.35 km long and takes about 1 hour to traverse. Along the trail, there are Gaehwasan Observatory which was selected by Seoul as an excellent viewing spot, and Yaksasa Temple that landscape painter Jeong Seon (pen name: Gyeomjae) enjoyed. After walking for a while, visitors can rest momentarily and catch a view of the Banghwadaegyo Bridge that connects Gangseo-gu, Seoul and Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do against the beautiful backdrop of the Hangang River. Juxtaposed with airplanes in the sky flying to and from Gimpo Airport, Gangseo Trail’s Gaehwasan Forest Trail offers visitors the experience of traveling through time by exploring history and culture as well as natural ecology.

    Address: San 83-3, Gaehwa-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul
