MOU Signing Ceremony of the “Seoul, Let’s Exercise” Campaign
Date: April 8, 2013
Venue: Video Conference Room, Seoul City Hall
Hello everyone, I am Park Won Soon, the mayor of Seoul.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Han Cheol-ho, CEO of Millet, and Yang Hoi-jong, chairman of the Seoul Council of Sport for All, for participating in today’s ceremony.
Spring is now upon us, and I can see many citizens stretching and exercising outside these days. Thus, I am pleased to be holding the signing ceremony of the “Seoul, Let’s Exercise” campaign at this time.
As the mayor of Seoul, who is responsible for the lives of this city’s 10 million citizens, I believe that “prevention administration” is very important, and exercise is a very good example of this. By exercising on a regular basis, the quality of life of not only individuals but also the entire society—ranging from issues such as medical care and welfare to housing and transportation—is improved.
The “Seoul, Let’s Exercise” campaign is one such preventive measure, serving to improve citizens health as well as their quality of life.
This campaign is the least Seoul City can do to care for its citizens, and I once again thank Millet and the Seoul Council of Sport for All for joining forces to lead the way.
I am glad to have such trusted and faithful supporters, and I look forward to your active cooperation in bringing greater happiness to Seoul citizens.
