    Applications for the 3rd Seoul City Foreign Residents’ Council. Seoul Metropolitan Government invites applications to serve on the 3rd Seoul City Foreign Residents’ Council. Councilors can play an important role in contributing to policy-making in the City by collecting opinions from other foreign residents in their network about the difficulties that they face in their daily lives, crafting policy proposals to deal with those issues and then providing information about Seoul City’s policies to their network. ◉ Application Period: 2020. 10. 29.(Thur) ~ 11. 23(Mon) ◉ Councilors to be selected: Approximately 20 ◉ Eligibility A. Applicants should be foreign residents aged 18 or older as of the day prior to this announcement,  who have been registered in Seoul for more than 90 days and who have lived in the Republic of Korea for more than 1 year. And, B. Applicants should submit at least 10 letters of recommendation from people older than 18 years of age (at least 3 of whom should be foreign residents and korean citizens respectively) in addition to a letter of recommendation from an organisation (ngo or state-run) that supports foreign residents in Seoul (Each organisation may recommend up to three applicants and the letter of recommendation must be endorsed by the head of the centre. ※ Preferred conditions: Active in the community, recipient of relevant awards, length of residence in Korea, IT skills etc. ◉ Term of Service: Two Years (‘21. 01 ~ ‘22. 01) Application documents 1 Required Documents (Please refer to the homepage)  ○ Application form and cover letter (attachment 2) (1 Copy) Letters of recommendation (attachment 3) 1 copy from a foreign resident support organisation, 10 copies from seoul citizens (※ at least three each should be from foreign residents and korean citizens). ○ Agreement on the collection and usage of personal information (attachment 4) (1 Copy) ○ Certificate of Alien Registration or Certificate of Report of Domestic Residence (Naturalised citizens should submit a Certificate of Residence.)
